Speakers Bios
Dean (Kip) Witter III, Vice President/CFO Professional, The Brenner Group, Inc.
Mr. Witter�s finance career started in 1974 with US Leasing International, Inc., after which he spent 12 years in various finance positions with Amdahl Corporation (formerly ASE: AMH). His last 5 years there were as Vice President and Treasurer. Since Amdahl, he co-founded Eeonyx Corporation (privately held) and served as a senior consultant with the Capstone Group and the Brenner Group, where he specialized in providing financial executive consulting to high-growth and early-stage clients. Mr. Witter joined Hello Direct, Inc. (formerly NASDAQ: HELO) and served as its Chief Financial Officer until the time of its acquisition by GN Great Nordic (2001). He became President of William D. Witter, Inc., in May 2003, and served as Chairman from February 2005 until April 2007.
Mr. Witter received his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and his BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College (magna cum laude), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He served two years on active duty in the U.S. Army (1969 � 1971). He is president of The Dean Witter Foundation and serves as a trustee of the Harvey and Maud Sorensen Foundation. He is a member of the Mathematical Association of America, the American Mathematical Society, and the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County.
Craig Cytron, Senior Controller Professional, The Brenner Group, Inc.
Mr. Cytron is a Senior Controller with The Brenner Group having over thirty-five years experience in Finance and Accounting. Mr. Cytron is a start-up company expert, skilled in creating the financial infrastructure necessary to facilitate rapid growth. Mr. Cytron currently has a portfolio of emerging growth venture backed companies, managing the accounting function and advising on financial matters. Previously, he was Corporate Controller with Kovio, Inc. where he developed a three-year operating plan and was involved in raising venture financing. He also served on the company�s Audit Committee.
Prior to that he was Corporate Controller for PDF Solutions and played a major role in a successful IPO, as well as three acquisitions. In addition, he managed the company�s seven international subsidiaries and implemented SOX compliance. Before that, he was Corporate Controller for Read-Rite Corporation, who also completed a successful IPO and acquired Connor Peripherals and Maxtor manufacturing operations in Malaysia. Mr. Cytron has also served as Chief Financial Officer for D2M, Corporate Controller for Business Resource Group, and as Accountant Manager for Televideo.
Mr. Cytron received his BS in Accounting from Chico State University and his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Golden Gate University.
